CBT is an evidence based therapy, which takes a practical approach to treating issues and change behaviour. The goal is to change patterns of thinking or behaviours that are behind peoples difficulties, and so in turn help change the way they feel . It is used to treat a wide range of issues in a person life ranging from sleep difficulties or relationship difficulties to addictions or anxiety and depression. CBT focuses on the here and now rather than delving into your past.
